Cipro XR (Ciprofloxacin) is an antibiotic medication that kills bacteria by interfering with the enzymes that cause it to reproduce. It treats many different kinds of infections such as: skin, lungs, airways, bones, joints, urinary tracts infections and infectious diarrhea.
How to use Cipro XR (Ciprofloxacin) should be orally, twice a day (morning and evening). It can be taken with or without food, as directed by your doctor. Unless told otherwise by your doctor drink lots of fluid while taking this medicine.
Overdose If you suspect an overdose contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Missed dose If you missed a dose take the medication as soon as you remember. However, if it is near the time to your next dose then skip your missed dose and resume your normal schedule. Do not attempt to double up a dosage.
Notes While taking this medication, you may feel dizzy or light-headed or actually faint when getting up from a lying or sitting position. If getting up slowly doesn't help or if this problem continues, notify your doctor.

This medication may rarely cause tendon damage.
